The UltraGuide is the first system ever machined to specifically fit cartridge families, and it is the first to solve the number one problem with bore guides, which is sealing. Each Cartridge Family Adapter (CFA) is cut to the exact shoulder angle and body dimensions of its parent cartridge. The CFA is the piece that threads on the end of the guide tube and the ECI adapter, locking in place with o-rings that secure the guide and direct every pass of the brush or patch straight into the throat and bore. When paired with the guide tube, this design creates a true seal at the shoulder, aligns jags and brushes correctly, and keeps cleaning solution out of the chamber and action. The system comes in a compact organizer case for easy storage and travel, so you always know exactly which pieces you have on hand.

The Problem with Conventional Bore Guides

The number one problem with bore guides has always been sealing. If a guide does not seal at the chamber shoulder, then it is not protecting your rifle the way it should. Most designs let cleaning solution leak past, which runs into the chamber and action. Over time, this means fluid, fouling, and even abrasive debris are sitting in the very place you are trying to keep clean. It is the exact opposite of what a bore guide is supposed to do.

The second problem is the hassle of owning multiple rifles. Most shooters have a safe full of different chamberings, which means a pile of single-purpose guides. They are large, awkward to store, and many do not fit quite right. They all look nearly identical, so it is easy to grab the wrong one while working at the bench or traveling to a match. You can pack and carry a whole set, but you are still fighting the same poor sealing.

For years, there were only two real choices, and neither addressed the issue at the chamber shoulder:

• Universal cone guides. These simply press against the end of the barrel. They never reach the shoulder, so cleaning solution runs freely into the chamber.
• Single o-ring guides. These come in action-specific or “universal” styles, but the o-ring is always placed too far back in the body. It never seals at the shoulder. Fluid and debris slip past, contaminating the chamber and action.

Both of these designs leave your rifle vulnerable to the very problems a bore guide should prevent. Worse, they force you to carry and manage a collection of guides if you shoot more than one cartridge.

The UltraGuide Design

The UltraGuide fixes these problems with a modular approach: one guide tube, multiple CFAs, and features that seal and align properly every time.

Cartridge Family Adapters (CFAs)

CFAs are the core of the system. They replace the need for multiple one-off guides by covering entire cartridge families with precision machining.

• Machined to the same shoulder angle and chamber dimensions as the cartridge family.
• Threads onto the end of the guide tube and/or the ECI adapter.
• Forward o-ring seals at the shoulder/body junction.
• Second o-ring seals the CFA to the guide tube.
• Guides brushes and jags directly into the neck and throat.
• Eliminates cleaning solution or debris from entering the chamber or action.

Each CFA works across an entire cartridge family. Instead of needing a separate guide for every rifle, one CFA covers the whole group.

Guide Tube Features

The guide tube is engineered to make cleaning smoother and cleaner.

• Tapered entrance - Forces patches down to bore diameter for a consistent fit.
• Fluid slot - Lets you add solution to patches inside the tube instead of in the chamber.
• Secure seal - Double o-rings hold the CFA firmly to the tube, blocking leaks into the action.

Ultra ECI System

The UltraGuide integrates into the Ultra ECI System by threading the Cartridge Family Adapters (CFAs) onto the ECI Adapter, you get a perfectly fitting safety flag that doubles as part of your cleaning kit.

This is the first modular, oring'd custom fitted ECI available and it features a hole through the center that is the same size as the bore of the barrel. This not only allows constant airflow through the barrel in between stings for cooling but also allows anyone to look down the barrel with the bolt removed to see light through it.

One problem with a lot of ECI's is that they do not hang low enough to where the RO can see from all angles that there is an ECI in the chamber. This system allows the ECI to be seen from any side of the rifle.

Organizer Case

Every UltraGuide System includes a compact, dedicated case. Each CFA has its own spot, making it easy to identify, store, and travel with the complete kit. No more mixing up guides or leaving the right one behind.
