7 FCP Reamers
The 7 FCP is a new cartridge designed specifically for F Class. F class is prone shooting while shooting 10-20 shot strings either pair fire of string fire at distances of 300-1000 yards. The case starts out as a 6.5 PRC.
The 6.5PRC has a case capacity of about 66.5 grains of H20. The 7 FCP has a capacity of 72 grains. To put into perspective the 284 Shehane has a case capacity of about 67 grains and the 284 of about 64 grains. The 7 SAUM has about 72.5 grains. We wanted to develop a 2" approx length case that had a 40 degree shoulder and would hold about the same capacity as a 7 SAUM. 7 SAUM brass has become nearly extinct so it was time to develop a case for f class that could shoot the 180 grain bullets in the 2975 fps area without over pressure.
