Cutter Installation Jig for MTAP/AUTOTAP
The MTAP/Autotap Cutter Installation Jig is a purpose-designed, 3D printed tool that simplifies and improves the process of installing cutters into the cutter head assembly. This jig was developed to eliminate one of the most common frustrations during cutter changes, keeping all cutters perfectly flat and fully seated while tightening.
During installation, the jig supports the cutters and holds them firmly against the base of the cutter head assembly, ensuring proper alignment and consistent seating. This reduces the chance of uneven cutter height, misalignment, or cutters shifting during tightening, all of which can negatively affect trimming and pointing consistency.
